About Ms. Vee (Veronica Thornton)

I am the author of "Universal Colloquies Inside of Me" and just currently released "Train of Thoughts",  I have had the honor of being a contributing writer to over 15 anthologies, journals and literary collaborations, owner of  Vee's Consulting a creative business consulting agency that specializes in literary content creation, creative writing and creative business consultant and one of the  co-founders of  The Creative Healing Foundation a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to creating programs and events that promote healing  through the arts providing safe spaces to openly speak about emotional and mental wellness.

Even when I’m down I look up.  That’s something I learned to do at an early age. It seems many of us spend a large portion of our lives trying to comprehend who we are and where we fit in this world while we sometimes allow others to make ourselves question whether we even belong in it.  As the world just recently become this beacon of acceptance of people being different and developing an anti-bullying culture would sometimes wonder how my life would be different had I not been traumatized by people in a world that puts such a high value on aesthetics especially when you have no control over some things.  Yet had it not been for my sometimes-debilitating skin issues I don’t think I would have the same level of introspection, empathy, or patience. Yet it is those same skin issues that although made me different also made me more aware that things are not always what they appear to be on the surface and there is always more to the story.  The question then becomes do you really want to know the story or are you just looking to judge it based on your own perceptions?

I am an author and freelance writer that loves the art of storytelling.  Whether poetry, research based, editorial, ghostwriting, articles or any other form of writing.  If it involves weaving words together to convey a message I'm here for it.  Words are important and the stories we tell become a part of history.
